Verne’s Legacy 2006 KK242 #1

Verne grew out and planted many cactuses from his 2006 import of KK242 cactus seed from Karel Knize.

Although grown from KK242 seed, these are often  referred to as Verne’s santaensis as they look so different than earlier KK242 seed batches.   

Verne was characteristically displeased with Knize, the seeds, just about everything really, but some really nice plants resulted. 

The Verne’s Legacy KK242 line represent the mother plants that were purchased by Cactus Affinity after Verne’s death, dug up and moved to the Cactus Affinity nursery.
