Verne’s Hybrid OP seeds

This was once a popular plant but has become rare due chronic issues including fungus and TMV. So much that it gained the nickname “Vernes mosaic”.  

Verne would sometimes switch up the name and called this one both SP x peru and peru x SP. He wrote on his websites that Koehres once sold these hybrid seeds, but afaik he never clearly stated that this was the source of his plant. Did he grow it from one of those Koehres seeds?
