This is the non-monstrose TPM sold by California Cactus Center as T. peru. Like the monstrose clone, this one was given the nickname short spine peru because it often shows only short spines. Older growth develops 2+” spines.

Available from Altman occasionally mixed in with the TPM. Probably the same as the plant known as Gator and maybe Awful too.
