Torres and Torres is a pach found growing in Chile, well outside of the usual range for this species, by Donna Torres and Manuel Torres and was the basis for their paper in the 1995 Yearbook for Ethnomedicine and the Study of Consciousness.  All of my Torres and Torres plants come from a single cutting purchased from Sacred Succulents around 2001. I have seen many âTexas Torchâ cuttings sold as Torres and Torres. They are similar looking plants. Perhaps it will turn out they are the same.Â
Our Torres and Torres plant is grown outdoors in Chico, California planted directly in the ground. It is grown without chemical inputs, grafting, or forced reproduction. The cactus has reached a mature size and is harvested carefully to ensure it continues to flower each year.
