Kniphofia uvaria - local pickup

Kniphofia uvaria, also known as torch lily or red hot poker due to the shape and color of its inflorescence. The leaves are reminiscent of a lily, and the flowerhead can reach up to 5’ in height.

The red, orange, and yellow flowers bring the hummingbirds to the yard.

Quite popular in collector gardens and among private gardeners who are striving for a more water-wise approach. Also seen in roadside planting swathes and public areas, or used for corporate or office exterior landscaping.
