American Sharxx Blue, also known as American Sharxx for short, is a cactus grown from Icaros seed distributed during the Matucana Army campaign of 2016.
This spectacular specimen was chosen as a standout among hundreds of seedlings and chosen for several characteristics including its intense glaucous blue color, honey red spines, and strong V-notches.

While the name American Sharxx Blue was controversial at first the American cactus community has now enthusiastically accepted American Sharxx Blue as an instant classic every serious cactus collector must have in their garden.
