Officially Aloe maculata, named after the speckled leaves.
Formerly called Aloe saponaria, it is known as a soap aloe.
The local name is “Hardy Aloe” and accurately reflects how tough this plant is. In my experience plants will readily root and grow with zero care, toss them onto dirt and they’ll take care of themselves.
Handles full Chico sun even without water, and absolutely thrives with a little attention.
